International Committees
ICOM individual members may join up to four of 35, one voting and three non-voting, International Committees that bring together experts of museum specialties from all over the world. Institutional representatives may join one committee, non-voting. They define standards, develop recommendations, and share knowledge, experiences, and information with ICOM members through digital media, publications, and meetings throughout the world.
According to the 2021 ICOM Annual Report, there are over 22,476 International Committee members around the globe, with about 50% of ICOM members active in an International Committee.
